Veterans Week In the Virgin Islands

• OIF/OEF "Home coming on St. Croix
• Radio show Abdul Ali WSTX 2-3pm representative from the VA in Puerto will be available to answer questions about benefits.
• Veterans Ball on St. John at the Caneel Bay Resort instead of the Westin Hotel from 6;pm until 11:pm. Honorees are Samuel Morch and Theovald Moorehead (posthumously) Tickets are $75.00 single and $140.00 per couple. Tickets can be purchase at the door or call Corine Matthias at 340-779-4250 or Aubrey Sewer at 340-779-4158. All proceeds go to fund Community and youth programs and the wounded warriors program.

• Veterans and their families will attend the church of their choice in the St. Thomas/St. John District. St. Croix veterans will attend St. Luke AME in Grove Place
• Concerts on all three Islands

St. John: Pan Dragons Steel Band will be in the Frank Powell Park in Cruz Bay 4:00 pm
We are encouraging all veterans and their families and friends to attend these concerts in honor of all those who served.

• Radio show WSTX Holland Redfield

• Veterans as elected officials they will be in a mock session debating issues concerning veterans in the Virgin Islands

• Annual parade on all three Islands

  St. John
  Where: Coral Bay Time 10:30 am-From Crabby's Watersports on route 107 and ending with a ceremony at the Coral Bay Agriculture Station. Food and drinks will be available. Come join with Post 131 on the opening of it's headquarters and participate in St. John's 1st Mini Agricultural Fair being sponsored by post 131 and the Department of Agriculture.
  

  St. Croix
  Where: Fredericksted Time: 9:30 am-From the Post Office down King Street to the bandstand. After a short ceremony, refreshments will be served and activities for the children at Saint Gerards Hall.
  

  St. Thomas
  Where: Adelita Cancryn School Time 3:00 pm-Turn up on the road to the Western Cemetery up Main Street to Veterans Park. After the Ceremony there will be refreshment and entertainment for the children in the Park. "Guest attendance this year will be the "British Virgin Islands Police Marching Unit".

Please come out and enjoy the parade on which ever Island you are on that day because we are "Honoring All Who Served"

• Radio Show "Pass it on" with Sen. David 10-12 am

• OIF/OEF Home coming on St. Thomas
• Radio Show "Your Views and Mine" with Sen. David on Radio One 11-12 am Representative from the VA in Puerto Rico will be able to answer concerns about benefits.

St. John
A Veterans representative will be on St. John at the office of the Administrator on November 20, 2009 from 9am to 3 pm.
