News
November 7-14, 2009......VETERANS WEEK

Schedule of Events

November 1, 2009..........VIOVA Launch their new website

The Office of Veteran's Affairs officially launch their new Website!

June 16, 2009..........Priority Group 8 Enrollment Changes

VA Eligibility rules changed on June 15, 2009, making it easier for more Veterans to enroll in VA'S health care system. Under this new regulation, VA relaxed income restrictions for enrollment for health benefits. While this new provision does not remove considerations of income, it does increase income thresholds.

June 15, 2009..........Caribbean Healthcare System

VI Veterans who applied but were rejected for enrollment prior to January 1, 2009 may need to complete a new means test to have their eligibility for enrollment reassessed against the new Enrollment threshold. The Health Eligibility center is already sending letters to these veterans.

Veterans who applied on or after January 1, 2009 and were denied enrollment have been notified that VA will re-determine their enrollment after the new provisions become effective on June 15, 2009. (These veterans do not have to come to the VA to get a new means test done).

October 30, 2008..........Servicing St. John Residents

Representatives from the Office of Veterans Affairs will be on the island of St. John by appointment only starting on November 1, 2008. A representative will be on island the last Friday of every month for veterans with routine concerns. Appointments can be made by calling Office of Veterans Affairs at (340) 774-6100.
